Over a month of extreme heat! Praying for rain!

ecosystem

Recently, the heat has been so intense that it has exceeded our body temperatures, and both plants and people are breathing in and out of the blue. Even when we look at the weather forecast and see that it is going to rain, it always betrays us just before and it has not rained for more than a month.

The lawn is also dead.
Taro is also stale.
Persimmon also sunburned

Pumping water daily with a human pump (hard work!)

Every day I fetch buckets of water from the river, and somehow cucumbers, eggplants, nanban, and other summer vegetables barely survive. The forecast is for no rain in September.

I carry about 50 cups in this bucket every day.
The human pump is about to break down.

Will it snow this year?

8/25, above body temperature today. Will it snow in another 3 months?
I miss snow today.

It snows in a country 38 degrees north and south of us.
Will it be like Africa with wet and dry seasons?

Peasants: information warfare with the weather!

Since I started farming, I have been staring at the weather app on my phone. Comparing Weather News, NHK, Yahoo, and Windy.
I find myself looking at the weather app and pondering how to deal with high temperatures, water shortages, and vice versa, flooding in the fields, snow damage, and frost damage. When I was a salaried worker, I never cared so much about the weather!

I worked hard with a man-powered yumbo to maintain the culverts for drainage of the fields in early spring. I was surprised that it did not rain.
Medium- to long-term weather forecasts are often wrong.
